What to expect at your personal retreat
Creating safety
What is most important to me is that you feel safe enough to be present. That means physically, but also emotionally and energetically. This is why we do online sessions before meeting in person and why we’ll review the Intimacy Frameworks, Agreements, and Rules before we dive in.
I will ask for what I need to feel safe enough and I want you to ask for what you need to feel safe enough.
What happens
During our time together we move through a series of embodied experiments. Some will involve touch and some won’t. You always get to choose (as do I) how you participate, so if you want to move slower, take a break, not use touch, you get to ask for that.
It is an emergent process, which means that while we have a structure and flow for how to move through the day, we will be following your energy. We’ll create space for the things that emerge for you and hone and refine the wisdom that shows up.
We will be using Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent as a model for navigating the ways we give and receive.
We’ll start with non-touch experiments that help you settle into your body and begin to notice what’s happening. Then we’ll slowly begin to invite touch in (if you want). We start with the hands and go from there.
In all of these experiments, there is a ton of information that shows up in your body. You will start to get clearer on the pieces that excite you and the pieces that make you want to step back. My job is to help you bring attention to it all and connect it to your life so that you make real changes outside of this space.
If you’re willing and able to be present and curious with yourself, this will be a space that offers you deep transformation.
All of it is simple, and in its simplicity, you will discover so much about yourself and what you want to create.
Mind/Body
These are embodied practices created to elicit the deep wisdom of your body. And, we will also be talking, processing, and integrating. Your mind is necessary in this process so that you can create a map that you hold for the rest of your life.
You get to ask for anything you want
One of the most special and sacred pieces of this practice is that you can ask for anything that you want. Literally anything. I may not be willing or able to give it to you, but you get to ask for it.
This is a space that celebrates imagination, desire, and vulnerability. I want you to experience what a relationship can feel like when it is full love, where you don’t have to feel guilty, ashamed, or afraid because of what you want.
Transformation
These personal retreats are an invitation to step into some deep waters. In that, you will have the opportunity to confront some spicy questions and find ways to move through them. It’s transformative in a way that is hard to describe. It unlocks something deep within and while you’ll see changes immediately, the ripple effects often last years.
