Overgiving keeps us from finding truly connected and intimate relationships. Overgiving protects us from the vulnerability of having to ask for what we want or set limits for what we don’t. It’s also a breeding ground for resentment.
Overcoming the habit of overgiving takes time and practice. Go slow with an abundance of compassion. It’s not always easy, but it is worth it.
